Mr Petr Jirásko is to be appointed new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors at PPF banka a.s., replacing Mr Petr Milev who resigned yesterday. In addition, the Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Mr Josef Zeman, Vice-Chairman and member of the Board of Directors, at its meeting yesterday. The Supervisory Board then appointed Mr Pavel Fuchs in his position. Petr Milev is leaving the CEO position at his own request, after his tenure of more than eight years during which the bank became the eighth largest bank in the Czech Republic and posted a profit of almost one billion Czech crowns last year. “We thank Petr Milev for the work he has done for the bank and wish him every success in the future. Petr Jirásko is bringing a new dynamic and energy to the bank’s management,” said Martin Štefunko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PPF banka.
Petr Jirásko has been the Managing Director, Financial Markets and a member of the bank’s top management. He is a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague and has worked on capital markets for most of his professional career. Petr Jirásko worked as an FX Dealer at Credit Lyonnais Bank from 1998. Between 2000 and 2002, he worked as an FX Option Dealer and later as Head of Derivatives Desk at Komerční banka, a.s. Petr Jirásko has been with PPF Group since 2002. He worked at PPF burzovní společnost (as a Bond Dealer and Chief Dealer) until 2004, and since 2004 he has been the Managing Director, Financial Markets at PPF banka.
Pavel Fuchs has worked as a Deputy CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors with the largest Czech insurer, České pojišťovna, being in charge of the company´s investments. A graduate of the Masaryk University in Brno, he has been working for PPF Group in various managerial positions since 2000.
