How can I pay with Google Pay?

With Google Pay, you can pay at contactless terminals in stores, at online merchants, and in apps that support Google Pay. In stores: Your phone must be turned on and unlocked (Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN). Hold the phone near the payment terminal. You can also pay with smartwatches that support Google Pay. In apps and online: Select Google Pay as the payment method and confirm the transaction the same way as for a store purchase.

Can I withdraw cash from an ATM with Google Pay?

Yes. If the ATM has a contactless reader, simply hold your device near it, just as you would to make a payment. Then follow the instructions on the ATM screen. Your phone must be turned on and unlocked (Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN). Hold the phone near the contactless symbol on the ATM and proceed as usual.

Which cards can be added to Google Pay?

All cards issued by PPF banka can be added to Google Pay. However, Google applies certain age restrictions – cards held by users under 15 years of age cannot be added.

Is an internet connection required to pay with Google Pay?

No. Payments and ATM withdrawals are processed offline. Internet access is required only when adding or managing a card.

How much does Google Pay cost?

The service is free. PPF banka does not charge any fees for Google Pay.

Does Google Pay work abroad?

Yes, it works everywhere contactless payments or withdrawals are accepted.

Can one card be added to multiple mobile devices?

Yes, the same card can be added to multiple Android mobile devices.

Can I add multiple cards to Google Pay?

Yes, you can add multiple payment cards to Google Pay and easily switch between them.

Is Google Pay secure?

Yes. Your physical card number is never shared – one-time tokens are used instead. Each transaction is protected by authentication on your device (fingerprint, PIN, or facial recognition).

What happens when my physical card expires?

If your plastic card expires, your digital card remains valid and Google Pay payments continue to work. If the bank issues you a new card through automatic renewal, the digitized card is automatically transferred to the newly issued plastic card.

What limits apply to Google Pay mobile payments?

The same limits as on your plastic card apply. For payments in e-shops or merchant mobile apps, internet payments must be enabled. Contactless withdrawals via Google Pay count toward the ATM withdrawal limit. Contactless payments in brick-and-mortar stores, e-shops, or merchant apps count towards the merchant payment limit.

What should I do if I lose my phone or watch?

Immediately block the device via your Google Account – Find My Device, or contact PPF banka. No one else can make payments with your device, as every payment requires authentication.

What is NFC?

NFC (Near-Field Communication) is a technology that enables contactless payments by phone. The same technology is used for contactless payments with plastic cards.
